Short version: we collect what we need to run the product, we don't sell your data, and we use a small set of trusted services to handle email and analytics.

What we collect

Your account info (email, username, hashed password, and any profile fields you fill in). Activity inside the product — tracked brands and the domains you analyze. Standard log data — IP, browser, device, timestamps — captured automatically when you visit. Anything you send through the contact form or to our AI features.

Heads up: don't paste sensitive info (IDs, financial details, passwords) into any free-text or AI field.

What we do with it

Run the product, keep your account secure, send transactional emails (verify, password reset), send product updates if you've opted in, debug issues, and prevent abuse. We don't sell your data.

Who else touches it

A handful of services we rely on:

• Resend — sends emails from us to you.
• OpenAI — powers the AI brand analysis. Inputs you send into AI features are processed by them.
• Hosting and database providers that run the product itself.

We may also disclose information if we're legally required to, or as part of a business transfer (merger, acquisition).

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or close your account, at any time — just reach out. Where local law gives you additional rights (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), those still apply.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and local-storage entries:

• Necessary — login session, CSRF protection, and similar core stuff. Disable these and the product won't work.
• Functional — remembers preferences like dark mode and dismissed UI hints.
• Analytics — helps us see how the product is used (in aggregate). Where consent is required, we ask before setting these.

No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time.

Security

We hash passwords, encrypt data in transit, and keep dependencies patched. No system is perfectly secure — if you think your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

Kids

Brandhunt isn't for children under 13. If you think a child has signed up, let us know and we'll remove the account.
